The Fairouzeh American Association is very saddened for the loss of Mr. Wasfi Hawara, one of it's founders, and extends heart felt sympathies to his family
With a very thoughtful mind, he began to make the Village of Fairouzeh a better place for our people
Thanks to Wasfi, our families back home are now able to drink uncontaminated water because of the generous donation he sent to start the water project
He helped start The Fairouzeh American Association and continued his support in helping all the poor families back home live an easier and better life
With his help, directly or indirectly, the trash in town is being collected regularly, schools are a comfortable environment all seasons, proper health care is being provided for those who need surgeries, and clinics now have very useful and helpful equipment and the lives of many have been well improved since
Many people don’t believe that one soul can make a difference, but Wasfi is a proof, and we are proud that he was one of our main members
Although we were not ready to let him go, we must accept the wisdom of God
Wasfi is in a much better place now, and he will never be forgotten
We, The Board of Directors of The Fairouzeh American Association recognize and admire Wasfi’s efforts and support, and will keep him and his family in our prayers
We wish his family a smooth transition and would like them to know we are here to give any kind of support they might need just as Wasfi did for all our people
