The FAA would like to wish everyone a very Merry Christmas and especially our Fairouzian community asking the lord Jesus to bless them with good health and wish everyone the best of luck in their business in the years to come.
Many of you have probably raised an eyebrow to why Mr. Zaher Hawara posted his resignation on Dorgalli website and not the FAA website?
First, we would like to thank Mr. Hawara on his Nine year commitment to the, Fairouzah American Association (FAA). His dedication was truly one of a kind. He was and certainly still is a big asset to the FAA. Mr. Hawara was one of the original board members who took care of many sensitive issues of the FAA’s. He took his meetings seriously and never wanted any time wasted. He deserves a lot of credit for our party’s successes during the past ten years; he has definitely raised lots of funds in ticket sales and sponsor’s donations.
In early 2009, he sent a resignation letter to a board meeting and it was read clearly to all of us. We all agreed that some of us were tired and needed a break at times, and decided not to accept the resignation, but decided to give him a break (a leave of absence) for one year before we formally respond. FAA’s decision on that issue was thought of thoroughly and carefully. We don’t think Zaher was aware of our decision at that time, and he let his impatience lead him to do so.
In all honesty and from the bottom of our hearts, we the (FAA) had no bad intentions to ignore Mr. Hawara’s request, and as a matter of fact, deep down, we all hoped he would change his mind and stay with the board. We still would like him to rethink his decision until we are able to add/or replace board members.
We would like to take this issue as a next step to ask the community and especially the newer generation, to please come on board and join the association. We don’t know of any association that can have the same board members for as long as we have, because all of us would like to give and help, but we are always in need of new ideas from a younger crowd that can take on a big task like the FAA.
So, we would like to formally ask our younger generation to participate. We ask the community to encourage them, support them, and let them know, "you can do it!" We know that mistakes may happen along the way, but you will learn from them and as long as you know that the cause you are there for is good, and the intentions are pure, we will (as a community) still support you and applaud your success.
We know that, we, as Fairouzian, have those talented and honest people to do the job.
May God Bless the Fairouzian community
The FAA
